I played Bingo for the first time in probably 30+ years last night - at the local Eagle's Lodge. It was every bit as awesome as those retro boards would make you think. Sadly, I did not win, but three people at our table did, including my sister! (okay, most of what she won is going to Goodwill, but hey, winning matter!)

I LOVE BINGO!
ReplyDeleteA few months ago I went to "Hipster Bingo" here in town. It was so much fun. I need to go back. :)
Lisa, this was at the lodge at the far east end of Hawthorne and was a lot of fun! $4.50 to enter, $3.50 to play all ten games, 24 chances to win - not too shabby!
ReplyDeleteOkay so do you have to be an Eagle member to play? Or is it just a bar that has it? I'm totally checking it out!
ReplyDeleteMembership not required! It is so so so small-town feeling. You will definitely get bossed around a bit as they tell you the "right" way to line up your quarters on the table (they collect money at each round - that's the $3.50 part of the night, but don't worry, they'll sell you the quarters).
